TriMet Set to Close Kings Hill/SW Salmon

TriMet, in an effort to decrease travel time throughout the city, prosed the closure of several MAX stops including Kings Hill/SW Salmon. The Stadium District Business Association (SDBA), The MAC, Lincoln Hight School students and The Goose Hollow Foothills League were all in opposition as this was a well utilized stop and safer option for many. The SDBA advocated on behalf of our members at City hall and several TriMet community meetings and board meetings. All City council members and the Mayor were in favor of our efforts and applauded our advocacy.

Trimet plans to close the Kings Hill/SW Salmon stop in March of 2020 for a one year period of analysis. We will continue to speak up and hope to see the stop reopen in the future.
