Venture Portland - Annual Meeting Update

Last night was the Venture Portland Annual Member meeting. In attendance were two reps from each business district board. Eleni Kehagiaras (SDBA VP) and Anestis Polizos (SDBA Treasurer) attended on behalf of the Stadium District. Eleni was voted onto the board of Venture Portland to serve as the Stadium District representative. Executive Director of Venture Portland, Heather Hoell, gave a wonderful presentation recapping last year's achievements. She highlighted many of the various districts successes and stats. One great thing to note is that Portland has 50 business districts which contain 19,200 businesses and provide 270,000 jobs in our City. Get more information about Venture Portland.

SDBA Speaks at City Hall

During the month of April members of the Stadium District Business Association took the opportunity to check in with our City leaders on topics that matter to us, residents and business owners in our district. On April 3rd we spoke about our opposition to a proposed closure of the Kings Hill MAX TriMet stop as well as our concerns about area camping. On April 10th we spoke about Unreinforced Masonry (URM) buildings, the importance of business associations and community partnerships, and the changing landscape and related needs in our district.
